We Learn by Experience

Iwaited and waited and waited for my twelve year old daughter to come home from hockey practice so that she could set up an account for me but when she didn't get home I attempted my own blog and I am so proud that I was able to create my own account.

These are my students baking bannock on a stick during our over night camp out.

The students are always encouraged to learn by experimenting. Many of our lessons do not turn out but we have fun in the process. Some of the bannock was burned because students didn't have the patience to wait and they held it too close to the fire.

What are your thoughts about incorporating Aboriginal content in the classrooms as mandated by Ministy of Education? In what ways can we bring technology with the traditional teachings? How can we utilize elders in our classrooms?
